At the start of December, Molly went to Greenogue for the HSI Autumn Development league 4 yr old final. It was quite exciting at the last qualifier at JAG to finish a competitive second to a very good horse, and I briefly thought that perhaps we could manage to place at the final. The less said about the overall experience today, the better-but I knew in advance that we wouldn’t place, which we did not. At least I then had no pressure on myself, and I got to just really enjoy riding my lovely horse.
Molly was an absolute star from start to finish. We had one or two little green mistakes, but she stayed so relaxed-and she tried and tried and tried. Her attitude is outstanding, and she has shown so much promise this year-as well as such heart, and endless enthusiasm for everything. She will take a well deserved holiday now for a few months. What a glorious horse, and how lucky to have found her ♥️
This summer and autumn-
Molly competed at Roscrea NMR dressage, winning her first ever test on a 70%.
She went to Thurles, winning the prelim warm up on a 70% and then coming fourth in the HSI qualifier test.
She went to JAG and finished second in the HSI 4 yr old qualifier on a 67%.
And then 5th of 5 in the HSI final today.
She has also jumped a couple of nice rounds at the Mullingar Equestrian sj training shows.
She has certainly earned her holiday. I am so ridiculously, incredibly, endlessly proud of her ♥️♥️♥️
